Danny Jerabek (accordion, keys, vocals, cornet, sousaphone, etc.) and his wife, Michelle (Thull) Jerabek (bari saxophone, vocals, guitar, etc.) both started performing on stage with their family at an early age. At age 9, Danny was given a Hohner Accordion from his grandfather and taught himself how to play traditional Czech polkas and waltzes. Into his early 20’s, Danny was inspired by Steve (Esteban) Jordan, “the Jimi Hendrix of Tejano Accordion” he began to “rock out” and improvise –thinking a little more, “outside the box.” 

Copper Box has performed for small, intimate shows, as well as to amphitheater crowds of 10,000+ and shared main stage festivals nationwide with artist such as: The Little River Band, Buckwheat Zydeco, Little Feat, Little Big Town, Peter Frampton, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lou Gramm, Marcia Ball, C.J. Chenier, Spin Doctors, Brave Combo, Terrance Simien, W.C. Clark, The Doobie Brothers, Los Lonely Boys, and REO Speedwagon. From Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI to Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA to the Cotati Accordion Festival in Cotati, CA to the International Accordion Festival in San Antonio, TX, Copper Box is sure to catch your ears listening, your feet tapping and your spirit lifted!
