A visiting professor to UW-Milwaukee, David Kaplan works on observations of compact objects (mainly neutron stars and white dwarfs), making precision measurements to help understand their basic properties and evolution. Kaplan also work towards using existing and new radio arrays for studies of the time-domain sky.
