Eric "Silo" Dahl is just a guy who likes to eat, a lot. Hailing from Delano, Minnesota, the senior computer engineering student at UW-Madison turned to competitive eating to help pay tuition bills. Silo has been in the competitive eating game for about two and a half crazy years. Starting with challenges awarding nothing more than a free meal and a t-shirt he began to realize a hidden natural talent. After tasting victory in his first competition by downing nine and a half pulled pork sandwiches in six minutes, taking home $250 in the process, he was hooked. Since then Silo has participated in over 50 competitive eating events, with his largest prize being $2500 for eating corn dogs at the California State Fair.
